For those interested in a solid outdoor tent for under $100 that holds multiple people, the Coleman Hooligan 3 tent represents a solid investment. The tent itself is largely made of screen material with a small zipper operated vent on one side, and a door on the other. Additionally, the Coleman Hooligan 3 tent also comes with 13 fiberglass stakes for the rain fly, and 4 for the actual tent itself.

In terms of spacing inside the tent, although it is advertised as being able to fit 3 people, this is only provided that they don't have much in the way of gear, and/or, they are willing to leave it outside. For campers with a great deal of gear, realistically the Coleman Hooligan 3 tent can only fit two (and possibility a dog) comfortably, but it is large enough to fit a full double-size air mattress inside.

Overall, most consumers are very happy with their purchase of this tent, and are impressed with its ability to handle hard rains and strong winds. Additionally, most also report that ventilation is good, and that the tent's vestibule is exceedingly useful. The Coleman Hooligan 3 tent does however have a few negatives. The stakes of the tent are only made of a cheap aluminum, and they tend to bend if punched into really hard soil. As such, for those who are interested in more than light camping, it may be a good investment to pick up a set of steel stakes to use for the corners of the tent instead. The Mountain Trails Grand Pass 18- by 10-Foot is advertised as a big tent capable of sleeping a lot of people, but the photos and advertising fail to give justice to how spacious and comfortable it really is. Many tents are advertised as sleeping their upper limit, meaning that a 7-person tent can conceivably hold seven people but they will probably be cramped and uncomfortable. This 2-room 6 to 7-person family dome tent can hold seven people easily, with plenty of room to spare. When the room divider is removed and the tent is one big room, it is even more spacious. Having the option of a second room is great for any time one group may need or prefer more privacy.

The tent is also easy to assemble and dissemble, and comes with an integrated duffel carrying system that simplifies everything. The corded tent poles are made from fiberglass for durability and the tent material itself is polyethylene, with welded seams at the floor to keep the water out. The windows are made from polyester mesh and the tent includes an integrated wind and rain flap to keep the moisture out. The poles are strong enough to withstand a lot of heavy wind as well. The materials are all durable and long-lasting, making this a great choice for anyone who wants a tent that will accommodate a large group and withstand a lot of heavy use. The only issue that might arise is that the stakes that come with the tent by default are not quite the same quality as the rest of the tent. It might be a good idea to purchase an extra, more durable set, especially if you plan to use the tent in less than ideal weather conditions.

The Wenzel Pine Ridge 10-by-8 Foot Four-to-Five-Person 2-Room Dome Tent is weather resistant, constructed of Weather Armor polyester, and coated with polyurethane. Besides the two mesh doors, it sports a mesh window and mesh roof that allow breezes to blow through. Outfitted with shock-corded fiberglass poles, and a grommet attachment system, it sets up easily and quickly. A hanging curtain can be used to divide the living space into two rooms.

This tent weathered a severe storm without leaking a drop, and two campers were easily able to set it up in a hurry - in well under ten minutes - while the clouds gathered and thunder rolled. Two more adults arrived later, and expressed pleasant surprise at how roomy a shelter the tent is, for the price. The gusty winds were stressing the poles, but they held. This tent would be the perfect fit for a small family; two adults and up to three kids could camp comfortably. Grown-ups could stay up and talk, right next to a kiddie sleeping room.

However, the orange zipper-protector tended to snag, unless the doors and windows were zipped open and shut very carefully and slowly. Also, some of the material around the zipper became fringed, making the snagging worse in those spots. This glitch was the product's only drawback. Adults can work around the defect easily, simply by zipping with care, but youngsters could become frustrated. Depending upon the campers involved, this small bug could be a non-issue, or grow into a big deal.

Overall, the Wenzel Pine Ridge 10-by-8 Foot Four-to-Five-Person 2-Room Dome Tent is a good buy. The product is backed by a ten-year warranty.
